The Gold Coast Turf Club have provided a race sponsorship, which will see ’Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation Handicap’ held on one of the biggest days on the Queensland racing calendar. During that race all jockeys will wear Zaidee’s Rainbow Breeches to promote awareness of organ and tissue donation.

Zaidee’s Ambassador Michael Rodd will be attending on behalf of the Foundation, as will Zaidee’s CEO Allan Turner.

This is the third year that Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation has partnered with AFL NAB Auskick, and the second year that Zaidee’s has supplied Rainbow Shoelaces to Auskickers all across the country.

In addition to this support, Auskick will hold a National Zaidee’s Round on the weekend of June 22 – 24. More details on this round will be available soon, with awesome competitions and AFL player appearances being talked about.

In May we will be launching our Schools Educational Program, which will reach more than 1.5 million school children in the next three years.

We have also placed more than 137,500 pairs of Zaidee’s Rainbow Shoelaces in Auskick Backpacks across Australia, and will join the AFL in hosting a Zaidee’s Round across all Auskick centres in late June.

Using the slogan “Healthy Bodies have Healthy Organs”, Health Hour aims to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation amongst people aged 18 to 26 years old.

The best photo of a “physical feat” will win a major prize package valued at nearly $8,000, while the second and third prize packages are valued at $1,430 and $800 respectively.

More than 500,000 Easter Eggs were donated by Ernest Hillier and scattered amongst the grass. Six hunts were held throughout the afternoon for designated age-groups.

 The Melbourne Racing Club has already indicated that they want to see the 2013 hunt to be bigger and better than this years so make sure you keep Easter Saturday free next year!

On the track, Smokin’ Joey took out ‘Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation Victoria Handicap” in a cracking Group Three race.

This event follows on from the great support offered to Zaidee’s by the NBL during their first ever Community Round last month.

Both teams will be sporting Zaidee’s Rainbow Shoelaces, with many also wearing Zaidee’s Rainbow Wristpockets (as seen being worn by Zaidee’s Ambassador Aaron Finch below).
